Júnior is one of the most refined and intelligent footballers Brazil has ever produced, a player whose elegance and versatility allowed him to excel in multiple roles without ever losing his distinctive imprint. As a left–back he was already outstanding , ambidextrous, composed, technically silky, but even that definition undersells his range.
